The Sunshine Castle is an award winning tourist attraction, medieval museum and function venue in Bli Bli on the Sunshine Coast. We also incorporate a Café and a separate retail Toyshop.

We are looking for a long term junior staff member looking for training and work experience for a career in tourism, hospitality, events or retail.

Job tasks include:
  • Customer Service duties –meeting and greeting guests.
  • Cash Handling and Point of Sale
  • Event support & set up
  • Cafe operations including short order cooking
  • Retail tasks at the gift and toy shop
  • Venue presentation – including cleaning and upkeep.
  • Admin support
  • Other tasks as required
Our preferred candidate:
  • Has a can do attitude
  • Has an x-factor with customers and colleagues
  • Remains teachable and enthusiastic –even when tackling the more tedious or menial tasks
  • Can multi-task and prioritise under pressure.
  • Is willing to learn to work independently after guidance and training.
  • Understands that this industry requires flexibility in hours, days and duties at all times.
What we expect

This role demands a dedicated and enthusiastic tourism, events & hospitality individual, with commitment to this very diverse role as well the confidence to approach and entertain guests. This is a fast-paced environment and a friendly team.

We are looking for  a new staff member to train immediately.

We can offer 16 – 24 hours per week on average to begin with. Availability on weekends and during all school holidays is essential.
